Santa Clara's West Nile Concerns
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KCBS)- Santa Clara County could be in for a bad West Nile year. 20 dead birds have already been discovered compared with 14 of all last year.
Santa Clara County Vector Control acting District Manager Director Russ Parman says ground fogging will take place in approximately a three- square mile area of West San Jose next Tuesday.
"It just tells us that the virus as we know, is still here and that compared to last year, it's a bit more active earlier on than we had seen in quite some time," said Parman.

Parman added that the area is basically a one-mile radius around traps that was found to be positive for mosquitoes.
