A homicide investigation is underway in Concord after the discovery of a body Tuesday morning in Baldwin Park. It was found shortly after 6 a.m. by someone taking a walk on one of the park’s paved paths.
Baldwin Park is on Parkside Circle, north of Willow Pass Road and east of the John Muir Medical Center’s Concord campus.
The victim appears to have suffered some sort of trauma to the head and possibly to the upper torso as well. Their identity has not been released.
