Clinton Arrives in Afghan Capital

KABUL (AP) _ U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has arrived in Afghanistan to take part in an international conference on the war, reconstruction and development.

Clinton landed in Kabul on Monday after two days of talks in Pakistan where she pushed the neighboring countries to work more closely in the fight against extremists.

Clinton is leading the U.S. delegation to Tuesday's Kabul conference, at which Afghan officials will outline their plans to improve security and make good on reform pledges.
