SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS)-- A 36-year-old man remains in custody on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, following a hit-and-run crash in San Francisco Friday night.

Police say they believe Joshua Calder struck and killed a bicyclist, 21-year-old German tourist Nils Linke, while he was riding on Masonic Avenue around 10:40 pm.

Officers say Calder allegedly drove from the scene of the crash and witnesses helped police with a vehicle description. Calder was taken into custody a few blocks away.

Calder also faces several other charges stemming from the incident.
