Teen Killed in Accidental West Oakland Shooting

OAKLAND, Calif. (KCBS) - A teenage boy was killed in what appears to have been an accidental shooting in West Oakland Monday night, the Police Department said.

The shooting was reported at about 7:45 p.m. in the 3000 block of Filbert Street, near San Pablo Avenue, according to police.

Homicide units were called to the scene, but an initial investigation indicated the shooting was accidental. The incident remained under investigation tonight.

Police said no arrests had been made.
