SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) _ One woman is dead following an early morning two-alarm fire in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood.
Fire officials said the blaze started in an eighth floor apartment at the Trinity Tower Apartments on O’Farrell Street shortly before 5:30 Sunday morning.
San Francisco police Sergeant Troy Dangerfield said the damage was contained to the one room.
“There was one person that was injured in the fire and the other person jumped from the eighth floor and is deceased,” he said.
The woman apparently struck a balcony and tree before hitting the sidewalk below her.
The other victim, who Dangerfield described as an Asian man in his 30s was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The fire was contained within 30 minutes.
Police and fire officials are still investigating what may have caused the blaze.

I am a resident in the building living on a floor above the one where the GASOLINE fire was. My question is why did the fire alarm NOT go off on my floor? I was awakened by the announcement that the fire had been contained 1 hour after the fact. When is someone going to look into the way Trinity runs their multiple properties and treats their tennants?

I’m moving out once my lease is up… you should to. Especially if we don’t find out why she jumped from so high instead of trying to exit with the other resident.
