SFPD Involved in Exchange of Gunfire

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) _ Two San Francisco police officers were involved in an exchange of gunfire with a group of suspects Saturday night in the city's Hunter's Point neighborhood.

San Francisco police Sergeant Troy Dangerfield said no one was hit in the crossfire and police are still seeking multiple suspects.

Police responded to a report of shots fired at a public housing area on Reardon Road at Kiska Road around 9:30 p.m.

Two plainclothes officers were investigating the area, when the suspects began shooting at them.

Dangerfield said the officers, who had not identified themselves as police, returned fire, but none of the suspects were hit.

Neither of the officers were injured in the incident.

Dangerfield said police took three suspects into custody, but believe more may be involved.
