Oakland Police Investigate Fatal Shooting at Taco Truck

OAKLAND, Calif. (KCBS/AP) - A man killed by gunfire near a taco truck in East Oakland on Wednesday may have been shot with his own gun.

The victim, a 23-year-old Antioch man, died in the hospital after some kind of confrontation in the 1400 block of 44th Avenue in which the suspect was also shot.

That suspect, a 34-year-old Oakland man who is expected to survive his injuries, was arrested in Tracy some time after the shooting, said a spokesman for the Oakland Police Department.

Two more shootings just minutes after the taco truck incident around 9:40 p.m. left a man and a woman hospitalized in stable condition.

Police have made no arrests in connection with the later shootings. Police said none of the incidents appear to be related.
