Information for San Bruno Residents

Shelter Info:

The Bay Area Chapter of the Red Cross has set up shelters and one evacuation center for those displaced in the fire.  One shelter is located at the Veterans Memorial Recreation Center at 251 City Park Way.  A second is open adjacent to the Veterans Memorial Center at the senior center.  And a third has been opened at the Church of the Highlands at 1900 Monterey Drive.  The Red Cross will be providing food, shelter and crisis counseling services at these locations.

The evacuation center is located at Bayhill Shopping Center at 851 Cherry Avenue in San Bruno.

Residents and those interested in helping residents can contact the Red Cross at 1-888-443-5722.

Resident Check-In:

San Bruno city officials are asking all residents that live in the area to check-in with them to ensure that everyone is accounted for.  They have set up a hotline to call (650) 616-7180.  Residents can also check-in in person at the evacuation center at the Bayhill Shopping Center or at the Red Cross shelter at the Veterans Memorial Recreation Center.

School Closures:

All San Bruno Park School District schools will be closed on Friday.  Capuchino High School will be open.

Blood Donations:

Blood centers are looking for blood donations for victims of the fire.  For those looking to donate blood: Blood Centers Website or call 1-888-393-4483.
