Man Sought In South Bay, Placer Co. Bank Robberies

Three California law enforcement agencies, including two in the Bay Area, are calling for the public's assistance in identifying a man suspected of robbing four banks in Santa Clara and Placer counties between April and June.

San Jose police said that on May 18, the man entered a Bank of America branch located at 2650 Berryessa Road, demanded money from the teller and fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The same man, who is described as a white male in his 30s between 5 feet 7 inches and 6 feet tall, is believed to have hit three additional banks in Santa Clara County and Roseville, which is in Placer County.

Surveillance images of the man released Wednesday indicate he has brown hair and a mustache. He weights approximately 190 to 210 pounds and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, short-sleeved T-shirt, and denim blue jeans.

Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to contact the San Jose Police Department, the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office or the Roseville Police Department.

Sgt. Paula McAllister from the sheriff's office can be reached at (408) 808-4410; San Jose police Sgt. Johnson Fong can be contacted at (408) 277-4166; and Sgt. Matt Janney with the Roseville Police Department can be reached at (916) 746-1029.
