AC Transit Considers Outsourcing All Paratransit

AC Transit is considering turning over the operation of all of its paratransit vans for the disabled to an outside contractor, for a savings of $600,000 to $1.1 million a year. KCBS reporter Bob Melrose says agency has already outsourced most of its paratransit routes, and the board will decide what to do with the remaining 20 percent next week.
