San Jose Jogger Fights Off Sexual Assault

SAN JOSE (BCN) - The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who attempted to sexually assault a female jogger on a trail in San Jose Sunday morning.

The attack was reported about 7:45 a.m. in the area of Snell Road and Colleen Drive.

The victim was jogging when a man pushed her into an aqueduct and then attempted to sexually assault her, according to the sheriff's office. She fought him off, and he eventually fled the area.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his mid 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was wearing a gray baggy hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
