Tech Watch: Should Texts Have To Play By FCC Rules?

Should the FCC treat text messages the same way as phone calls? CNET Editor at Large Brian Cooley says that’s the basis of a lawsuit against T-Mobile.

Cooley says the problem is that the traditional calls come under a different set of regulations than texts, meaning that all services must carry voice calls, but T-Mobile is saying they don’t necessarily have to include text messaging on their plans.
