AOL To Buy San Francisco Based TechCrunch

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – AOL Inc. says it will buy technology blog TechCrunch and other blogs in its network for an undisclosed amount in a bid to expand its news production.

AOL CEO Tim Armstrong and TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington made the announcement onstage Tuesday at TechCrunch’s Disrupt conference in San Francisco.

The deal includes the blogs including MobileCrunch, CrunchGear and CrunchBase.
