Los Gatos Mother Accused Of Sex With Minor
LOS GATOS (CBS / AP / BCN) - Los Gatos police arrested a 47-year-old woman Wednesday on charges of having sexual intercourse with a minor.
Suspect Sara Cole's arrest was the culmination of a two-month investigation that began after the victim's parents provided the department with information about the alleged crimes, police said.
Cole was interviewed last week and served a search warrant, which led to investigators seizing computer equipment and phones.
She was arrested without incident when she turned herself in to the police operations building.
She was booked on three counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, police said.
Cole was released around 6 a.m. Thursday from Santa Clara County jail after posting $30,000 bail, sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Rick Sung said.
Her arraignment date and time are pending.
The Police Department has said it will not release information about the victim.
Cole, who is the mother of four boys, made headlines in 2007 when she was struck and nearly killed by a drunken driver while unloading a bike from her SUV.
