Potrero Hill Car Chase Injures Three Women

SAN FRANCICSCO (KCBS) –  Three women were hurt after a car that was evading police crashed into their car in Potrero Hill.

Shortly before 11:30 Friday night, police tried to stop a dark-colored Chevy sedan for a traffic violation at 17th Street and San Bruno Avenue but the car sped off. The officer decided it would be too dangerous to chase the vehicle.

A few minutes later, a UCSF police officer made the same decision. Just blocks away, the car collided with the one carrying the women and the suspect fled on foot.

The three women were taken to a hospital and have been released. The incident is unrelated to Friday night’s shooting at Café Cocomo.
