Police Seek Witnesses In San Francisco Nightclub Shooting

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - A man who was seriously injured in a shooting at a San Francisco nightclub early Saturday continues to recover and police asked witnesses to the gunfire to come forward with information, a spokesman said Monday.

The shooting occurred just before 12:30 a.m. at Cafe Cocomo, which is located at 650 Indiana St., police Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.

An unknown suspect shot a 23-year-old man inside the nightclub, and the critically injured victim was taken to a hospital to be treated, Andraychak said.

The victim's condition has since improved and the injury is no longer considered to be life threatening, Andraychak said.

As of Sunday, police had no new information regarding possible suspects and asked possible witnesses to the shooting to come forward with information that might help the investigation.

Anyone with information can contact San Francisco police anonymously by calling (415) 575-4444. Tips can also be texted to investigators at "TIP411" by referencing "SFPD" in the subject line or body of the text.
