SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — Police are searching for two suspects believed to be involved in the Saturday shooting of a man while he sat in his car in San Francisco’s Sunset District, a police spokesman said.

The suspects are in their mid to late 20s and are known to the victim, San Francisco police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.

The identities of the suspects are being withheld in order to not compromise the investigation, Esparza said.

Officers received a report shortly after 9:30 p.m. of shots fired on the 500 block of Noriega Street. Responding officers found a 27-year-old man sitting in a parked car and suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim’s injuries are not expected to be life threatening, Esparza said.

Police have not determined if the incident is gang-related. The shooting is believed to have stemmed form a verbal altercation, Esparza said.

Anyone with information on this case is requested to call the San Francisco police anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444. They can also text information to TIP411.

Well, it’s a good thing San Francisco has banned hand guns, otherwise someone may have got hurt.

  • Kobie Dawg

Yep, since only the gang members who’s Laws does not apply to has guns, I feel a lot saver now.

  • Connor

Well, I’d feel a lot less safe with folks like you packin. Gang-bangers shoot eachother – stay away from gangs and you’re pretty safe. Who knows who paranoid NRA members will shoot.

  • Chris

Yeah Connor, because we all know innocent bystanders don’t get shot…

  • Pav

Someone already got hurt. What is relation between gun low and this incident?

  • Ben

Just Think Conner! If everyone was allowed to carry a concealed weapon, maybe, just maybe, the gang bangers and all the other non-law abiding thugs would think twice about threatening someone with a gun for fear they might get hur themselves.

  • RibEye

All of you have horrible grammar.

  • Connor

    Yeah…all the NRA-ers will keep the gang-bangers in check…
Guess what? They all know eachother are likely carrying, and it doesn’t make a damn bit of difference.
And if you’re an innocent bystander who gets shot through a wall or in a car a block away, what the heck is being armed going to do for you?
If you were carrying a gun, and you saw a gang-banger shoot another gang-banger, would you be the hero, pull out your gun, and bring them to justice?

  • RedEye

I bet all people who left a comment still have a gun. You aren’t just going to give your antiques away are you? No… I didn’t think so!!!
I’m not a gang banger nor a NRA member. Your conversation is pointless!!! BTW: “Most NRA people are pretty responsible” But the guns off the street has to start somewhere.
