Man Shot In Parked Car In SF Sunset District

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- Police are searching for two suspects believed to be involved in the Saturday shooting of a man while he sat in his car in San Francisco's Sunset District, a police spokesman said.

The suspects are in their mid to late 20s and are known to the victim, San Francisco police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.

The identities of the suspects are being withheld in order to not compromise the investigation, Esparza said.

Officers received a report shortly after 9:30 p.m. of shots fired on the 500 block of Noriega Street. Responding officers found a 27-year-old man sitting in a parked car and suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim's injuries are not expected to be life threatening, Esparza said.

Police have not determined if the incident is gang-related. The shooting is believed to have stemmed form a verbal altercation, Esparza said.
