On the 'Hawaii 5-0' Set

'We Do It Big On This Show'

HONOLULU, HI (ET/CBS) - Book 'em, Dano! The 'Hawaii 5-0' team is determined to find an abducted girl after her sister is found murdered on tonight's riveting episode, and our own Mark Steines is behind the scenes with the cast on the Oahu set!

"When we do shootouts on our show, we don't do anything small-scale," show star Daniel Dae Kim tells Mark. "We do it big on this show."

In the episode, entitled "Nalowale" (Hawaiian for forgotten/missing), the teenage daughter of the U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines is found dead off the coast of Waikiki. The governor then tasks the team with finding her sister, who was also abducted. Can they find her before it's too late?

"A misperception about Hawaii is that it's all sandy beaches and palm trees, but there actually is an urban environment here," says Daniel of the cool shipyard location being used for the day's scene. "We have shipyards, and we have a downtown, a Chinatown, and we're going to be able to find a lot of locales here."

As for how the cast is bonding, Daniel shares, "We're all getting to know each other really quickly and really well and it's kind of helping the flow of the show; we really like each other."

The former "Lost" star, who also filmed his previous hit show in Hawaii, adds, "A lot of the cast is kind of new to Hawaii, so they're kind of exploring and I'm giving them tips every once in a while where to go, and we hang out together. We're kind of re-finding Hawaii."

Don't miss all-new episodes of "Hawaii 5-0" every Monday night at 10pm PST on CBS-5.
