5 Stabbed In San Jose Bar Brawl

SAN JOSE (AP) – San Jose police are looking for clues after a weekend bar fight left five people suffering from stab wounds.

Officer Jose Garcia said two large groups of people began fighting at a south San Jose bar around 12:52 a.m. Sunday.

Officers found one injured man who told them that four others also had been stabbed during the altercation. The other victims reportedly drove themselves to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Garcia said the victims’ names and conditions are not being released.

Police are looking for members of the other group that fled the scene. Investigators said they do not know what the groups were fighting about.

      Here you go my friend:
A fight that began in a bar in South San Jose ended violently early Sunday morning after five people were stabbed during the altercation, according to police.

San Jose police responded at 12:52 a.m. Sunday to a call of a large fight between two groups that started in the bar at a business in the 300 block of Silicon Valley Boulevard. Police would not specify where the fight occurred; however, the only restaurant in the 300 block of Silicon Valley Boulevard is the Summit Steakhouse & Saloon, the on-site restaurant of the Holiday Inn.

When officers arrived, they found one male victim who had been stabbed, according to officer Jose Garcia, a police spokesman. The male victim told police four other people had been stabbed during the fight.

Police later determined the other four stab victims had driven themselves to a hospital, Garcia said.

The other group also fled before officers arrived and remain unidentified and at large, according to police.

      The case remains under investigation
