(KCBS) – KCBS Food and Wine Editor Narsai David said Greens Restaurant in San Francisco is “the standard for vegetarian food!” The chef Annie Somerville has been there for 29 years and the creativity never ends. The menu is always filled with such a variety of intriguing things.

Some dishes to note:

  • Ronde Nice Squash Provencal stuffed with Japanese eggplant, summer squash, peppers, leeks, asiago, pine nuts and basil. Served with tomato roasted pepper sauce, grilled Ridgecut Gristmills polenta, summer beans, shallots and pepper flakes.
  • Happy Quail Pimientos Di Padron with Arbequina olive oil, manchego, Maldon salt, grilled Italian bread
  • And the blackberry, raspberry, blueberry sorbet is delicious!

I bought a lovely branch of brussels sprouts in Castroville last weekend. I know you did a commentary about how to cook them directly on the branch. Can you tell me how to access that recipe?? Or where to go to get information?? Thanks!
