Narsai David Wine Review: Mayacamas Wines
(KCBS) - KCBS Food and Wine Editor Narsai David sampled the 2006 Merlot and 2000 Chardonnay from Mayacamas Vineyards in Napa Valley.
Narsai described the 2006 Merlot as "an elegant fruit... no overripe plums in this wine" and "Merlot at its best."
"And with four years of age, the complexity has developed and it's ready to drink with a rich autumn stew or a roast lamb. Marvelous to see a wine released only after four years of aging. There is an elegance to this wine with just enough tannin for balance." It's priced at $35.00.

Mayacamas is located in the Mt. Veeder district of the Mayacamas mountains in Western Napa County, at approximately 2000 feet above sea level.
