ALBANY (CBS/BCN) -- A 20-year-old Piedmont man has been identified by the Alameda County coroner's bureau today as the person who was fatally struck by an Amtrak train in Albany on Friday.

At about 6 a.m., Samuel Raushenbush was hit by westbound train No. 521.

The train carrying 52 passengers from Sacramento was bound for San Jose, Amtrak spokeswoman Vernae Graham said.

Service was delayed for more than six hours.

No one else was injured.

There may have been another person on the tracks with Raushenbush, Union Pacific spokesman Aaron Hunt said. The death remains under investigation.
