Sade World Concert Tour Includes San Jose Show
SAN JOSE (CBS) -- Guaranteed to be one of the hottest tickets of the year, Sade is going on a world tour for the first time in a decade, kicking off June 2011 in Baltimore and continuing through over 50 of the top concert venues in North America, including San Jose.
Her highly anticipated concert will feature her timeless hits including songs from her latest successful album, Soldier Of Love.
Sade's tour will be in San Jose on August 25, 2011 at 8 p.m. at H-P Pavillion.
Tickets for the show go on sale Monday, Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
Although it's going to be a little while until that tour makes its way to the Bay Area, we've already got some insight into Sade's thought process as she prepares to leave her rural England estate to tour next year.
According to Sade, heading on tour to supoport her new album Soldier of Love "just seems a natural progression. Once you put an album out, it's gone, in the ether. Being on stage makes the music tangible again."
Sade is notoriously private, eschewing the glitz and glamour of celebrity to instead focus on her husband and daughter and the family's rural lifestyle.
"I've always got so much to accomplish in my personal life, and I see that as separate," she said.
She also said, though, that she's anxious to visit different cities on tour again, including San Jose.
