Two Men, Dog Rescued From Land's End Cliff
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- Two men and a dog were rescued Saturday after getting stuck down the side of a cliff at San Francisco's Lands End, part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, according to the National Park Service.
The people and dog, who were visiting San Francisco, apparently went into a closed area of the park and ended up stuck down the side of a cliff, NPS spokesman George Durgerian said.
Park rangers and San Francisco firefighters responded and rescued the stranded victims by 4:30 p.m.
Durgerian couldn't say why how the men and dog became stranded, but he doesn't think they fell.
"I think they went down and couldn't get back up," he said.
No injuries have been reported from the incident.
Durgerian initially said a man, woman and dog got stranded, but later clarified that it was two men.
