Witnesses Sought In Richmond Fatal Party Shooting
RICHMOND (BCN) - Richmond police detectives are asking for witnesses to come forward after a fatal shooting at a party.
Police say 34-year-old Luis Medearis was shot around 1:30 a.m. Saturday during a private party being held at the Veterans Memorial Hall.
The Contra Costa Times reports when police arrived at the hallway they found Medearis dead in a doorway of the building.
Richmond police Sgt. Bisa French says it's not known if the gunman was attending the party, or had shown up uninvited.
It's not clear how many people were at the scene, but French says "there were a lot of people there at the party."
