USF Edges Colorado In OT, 83-81

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) ― Angelo Caloiaro scored a career-high 26 points and Michael Williams hit two tie-breaking technical free throws with 2.4 seconds remaining to lead San Francisco to an 83-81 overtime victory over Colorado Saturday night.

Rashad Green had 16 points and six rebounds for USF (2-1).

Alec Burks had 29 points and Cory Higgins added 28 points and eight rebounds for the Buffaloes (1-2).

Green grabbed a rebound and converted the putback with 2.4 seconds remaining to tie it at 81.

Colorado was judged by the officiating crew to have called timeout after Green's basket, but the Buffaloes had none remaining, so Williams was sent to the line, where he swished both.
