Wet Weather Delays Travelers At SFO

MILBRAE (CBS/KCBS) -- The wet-gray weather is delaying flights at San Francisco International this weekend and travelers are approaching this news with a variety of attitudes.

As SFO is bustling and the air travel season gets underway, the lines are long, but are still flowing.

KCBS' Margie Shafer Reports:

One traveler, Cindy Adams, is headed to Boston and stressed the points of travelling safely and knowing that her family would be safe bi-coastally.

"It's a great time to travel because it kind of reminds me of all the things you're thankful for," she said.

She even took some time to enjoy Thanksgiving's other pastime, football, by watching her nephew play for Bellerman High.

"It was a fantastic two-game session that I got to see," she explained.

However, it wasn't all holiday cheer coming from Thomas, who works for an airline and didn't want to use his last name. His experience was much different.

"In Seattle it took us two hours to get through security. By the time we got to the gate we missed the plane. Then Alaska [airlines] turned around and charged us $25 to reconfirm this on another flight."

Now he's rain delayed headed back to Alaska for Thanksgiving, joking he hoped he didn't have to take off all his clothes for security.
