Daly City Announces Centennial Logo Contest
DALY CITY (CBS/BCN) -- Daly City is seeking submissions for a contest to commemorate the city's upcoming centennial.
The centennial logo contest is part of a series of events and activities planned to celebrate the history of Daly City, which was incorporated on March 22, 1911.
The contest is open to artists of all ages, and entries will be judged by the Centennial Committee, a City Council-appointed group of volunteers planning the centennial events.
Artists are encouraged to submit entries that capture the essence of the city's past, present and future. The design should be of a shape that would fit a typical round, square or rectangular lapel pin and could be reproduced for T-shirts and printed materials.
The deadline for entries is December 10. Submissions can be e-mailed with the words "Centennial Logo Contest" in the subject line to dalyinfo@dalycity.org, or sent by mail or in person to the city manager's office, 333 90th St., Daly City, CA 94015.
For more information about the contest, call the city manager's office at (650) 991-8127.
