Sketch Of Palo Alto Rape Attempt Suspect Released

PALO ALTO (BCN) - Police are investigating reports of an attempted rape that happened in Palo Alto early Thursday morning.

At 12:30 a.m., a victim was walking down Alma Street, where she was allegedly pushed down by a man who intended to rape her and who pushed down her pants, police said.

The victim screamed and fought off the man, who then fled on Alma Street along nearby train tracks, police said. The victim ran toward El Camino Real and found her mother.

The suspect is described as 6 feet and 1 inch tall, 175 pounds, in his late 20s or early 30s. He had short dark hair and a well-groomed goatee. He was seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
