‘Shrek The Musical’ Opens In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Say hello San Francisco to that smelly green ogre.

Shrek the Musical was opening in San Francisco on Wednesday night at the Orpheum Theatre as part of a nationwide tour following a year-long, 441-performance run at the Broadway Theatre, one of New York’s largest playhouses.

Shrek is based on the the successful Dreamworks animated film and the characters in William Steig’s book. The show has received mostly mixed reviews, according to the Associated Press.
