Bay Area Health Officials Call Flu Season Unpredictable

SANTA CLARA (KCBS) - If you haven't already done so, county health officials around the Bay Area say now is the time to get your flu shot.

Last year at this time, people stood in line for hours to get their H1N1 vaccinations, but now there is an updated vaccine for this year's flu season.

KCBS' Mike Colgan Reports :

Santa Clara County Deputy Health Officer Dr. Sara Cody said there's a change on who should get a flu shot.

"What's new this year is we now recommend that everybody over the age of six months get a flu shot," said Cody.

"One of three flu viruses could be circulating. The earlier you get your vaccine, the more likely you are to be protected."
