California Hall Of Fame To Induct New Members

SACRAMENTO (AP) - Actress Betty White, former Secretary of State George Shultz, painter Wayne Thiebaud and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg are the latest to join California's Hall of Fame.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and first lady Maria Shriver will induct 14 notable people who've made a mark on the Golden State Tuesday night in Sacramento. Gov.-elect Jerry Brown will attend the ceremony as his late father, former Gov. Edmund G. "Pat" Brown is inducted. Director James Cameron, country crooner Merle Haggard, writer Anne Lamott, tennis star Serena Williams and venture capitalist John Doerr also plan to be on hand for their induction. An exhibit featuring mementoes of their careers opens Wednesday. It includes a life-size Terminator statue from Cameron's blockbuster movie starring Schwarzenegger.
