Man Stabbed To Death In Marin City, Suspect Arrested

MARIN CITY (BCN) - Marin County sheriff's deputies have arrested a Mill Valley man on suspicion of fatally stabbing a Marin City man Wednesday night.

Sheriff's Lt. Barry Heying said a woman called 911 at 8:30 p.m.  Wednesday to report a man being attacked on the Bridge Boulevard walkway beneath U.S. Highway 101 in Marin City.

Sheriff's deputies and officers from the Sausalito Police Department found a young man suffering from stab wounds. He was later identified as 22-year-old Larry Robertson, of Marin City, Heying said.

Deputies chased the suspect, 20-year-old Daryl Kumar Mears, of Mill Valley, into Marin City, where they subdued him with a Taser and took him into custody, Heying said.

Robertson was taken to Marin General Hospital where he died at 2:55 a.m. today, Heying said.

Mears is being held on suspicion of murder and is being processed into Marin County Jail, Heying said.

Detectives worked through the night interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence, and the investigation is continuing, Heying said.
