Tech Watch: Stepping Into Augmented Reality

(KCBS) - First there was virtual reality. Now we have augmented reality. A new smartphone feature let's you integrate online classified ads with the real world.

That's just what you can do through an "augmented reality" mobile browser called Junaio, available for free for the iPhone and Android devices. The app is from Metaio, a privately-held software company with offices in Germany, South Korea and the U.S.

CNET Editor-at-Large Brian Cooley explains how this works.

You can hear his Tech Watch report Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:50 P.M. on KCBS All News 740AM and 106.9FM.
