Antioch Man Hurt In Suspected DUI Crash

ANTIOCH (CBS/BCN) -- A man was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI following a crash in Antioch early Saturday morning that seriously injured a passenger in his vehicle, police said.

The solo-vehicle crash was reported shortly after 2 a.m. on East 18th Street east of Hillcrest Avenue, according to police.

Arriving officers found a vehicle had crashed into a tree and fence on the south side of the road.

A 19-year-old Antioch man, a passenger in the car, suffered major injuries in the crash. He was taken to John Muir Medical Center and was listed in serious condition as of this morning, police said.

The car's driver, Robert Kilcourse, 18, was treated at Sutter Delta Medical Center for a minor injury and then immediately taken into custody on suspicion of felony DUI, according to police.

There were two other passengers in the vehicle, and both were uninjured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, police said.
