Women Stun-Gunned, Robbed In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - Two San Francisco women were shocked with a stun gun and robbed while sitting in their car Wednesday evening in the city's Balboa Terrace neighborhood, according to police.

The women, sisters ages 25 and 35, were in their car on Ocean Avenue at San Fernando Way at about 7:30 p.m. when two men in their 20s or early 30s approached, opened the doors and demanded money, police said.

The women both refused and one of the suspects shocked the women with a handheld stun gun device, police said.

The suspects then snatched the women's purses, wallets and several credit cards, and fled on foot, according to police.

The women did not suffer significant injuries in the attack, police spokesman Lt. Troy Dangerfield said.

"They were stunned through their clothing," Dangerfield said. "There were no visible injuries."

No detailed suspect descriptions were available and no arrests were made.
