3.9 Quake Hits Northern California Coast

EUREKA (AP) -- No injuries or damage have been reported after an earthquake with a preliminary 3.9 magnitude was recorded Sunday off the Northern California coast.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake hit around 2:40 p.m. about 39 miles southwest of Eureka.

A dispatcher with the Eureka Police Department said she didn't feel that quake, and that no calls had come into the dispatch center requesting service.
