Narsai David Wine Review: Souverain Wines
(KCBS) - KCBS Food and Wine Editor Narsai David reviews a Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alexander Valley.
Listen to Narsai's Review:
The 2009 Souverain Sauvignon Blanc has bright, spicy, lemony, weedy and classic Sauvignon Blanc aromas that all follow right onto the palate. A lingering flavor with enough richness to complement roasted or grilled chicken or even a seafood pasta. Fine value at $14.00.
The 2007 Souverain Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep crimson color with lush aromas of spicy berries and chocolate that lead to a serious mouthful of wine. Lots of tannin and a wine not too heavy in body. Here's a keeper! Some age would develop a lot of complexity. A really fine price at $17.00.
