Cal Guard Gary Franklin To Transfer

BERKELEY (AP) — Cal basketball coach Mike Montgomery said freshman guard Gary Franklin is transferring to another school.

Montgomery said Wednesday that he was disappointed in the decision but wished Franklin well.

Franklin started 11 of Cal's 13 games this season.

He was fifth on the team in scoring with 8.2 points per game.
