Trampoline Dodgeball Gains Popularity In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Those with resolve to drop some pounds in 2011 may want to try their hand at a new trend taking hold in San Francisco. It's called trampoline dodgeball, and it's pretty much what it sounds like.

KCBS' Mike Sugerman Reports About the Bay:

"Trampoline dodgeball takes the adults back to being kids on the playground, lets them re-live the days of when they were throwing dodgeballs at their brother or sister or friends," said Dave Schafer at the House of Air Trampoline Center in the Presidio.

The games take place on many trampolines pushed together, with teams each trying to pelt their opponents with large rubber balls.

"We are a trampoline bar. We've got 67 trampolines, two very large areas with conjoined trampolines, which are basically trampolines pushed together, and trampoline walls, so you can bounce in any direction you can possibly think of," said Schafer.
