Janet Jackson To Visit Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO (ALICE @ 97.3/CBS) - Janet Jackson announced yesterday that she is bringing her "Number Ones, Up Close and Personal" tour to the US this spring. She will be making stops at 14 cities around the country, including Atlanta Ga on March 29th.

The tour kicks off March 7th in Las Vegas with two shows and will finish up back in Las Vegas with another pair of shows April 22nd & 23rd. The songs Jackson will sing will be exclusively from the her 2009 Album "Number Ones."

"These concerts will be different from anything I have ever done. I will be as up close and personal as possible," Jackson said in a statement. "These concerts are not about special effects. This is a love affair between me and those of you who have supported me and my work for all these years. I'll be singing and dancing from my heart. The music will all be songs that you've made number ones for me. Let's go!"

If you've always wondered how Janet Jackson has kept her body in incredible shape, she will be releasing her book called "True You" which will reflect on her diet and exercise. It's set to be released on February 8th.

Mar. 26-26: Atlantic City, N.J. (Borgata Spa & Resort Event Center)

Mar. 29: Atlanta, Ga. (Fox Theatre)

Mar. 31: St. Louis, Mo. (Fox Theatre)

Apr. 2: Grand Prairie, Texas (Verizon Theatre)

Apr. 6: Denver, Col. (Wells Fargo Theatre)

Apr. 8: Phoenix, Ariz. (Comerica Theatre)

Apr. 9: Santa Barbara, Calif. (Santa Barbara Bowl)
