SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – As the first black female TV journalist in the West, Belva Davis helped change the face of TV news.

From her struggles to break into broadcast journalism to the racism she faced in the industry, Davis persevered to become one of the most respected and trusted local journalists in the country.

Davis continues her amazing odyssey in the Bay Area and reflected on some of her fondest memories of the business.
