SAN FRANCISCO (CBS) – Veteran actor and director Clint Eastwood is in talks to remake the classic film “A Star Is Born” with singer Beyonce in the starring role. Beyonce Knowles previously starred in the screen version “Dreamgirls” in 2006.

Warner Bros. confirmed Friday that the two are in negotiations.

Billy Gerber, Basil Iwanyk and Jon Peters, who made the 1976 version of the film with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson, are set to produce.

Screen star Janet Gaynor starred in the original film in 1937, while Judy Garland played the lead role in the 1954 adaptation with James Mason.

While Beyonce has been attached to the project for quite some time, reports have surfaced that Russell Crow and Will Smith are both being considered for the lead male role.

Corporate spokeswoman Jessica Zacholl told the Associated Press that the deals have not been finalized and negotiations are ongoing.

‘Star’ has been done-to-death and has always been given to stars hitting middle-age and on the way out (Gaynor, Garland, Striesand). Beyonce, acting ability aside, is toooo young for this.

As for Eastwood, he’s now been caught fronting a string of demoralizing,
Globalist-think/RED China ‘eugenics friendly’ pictures (Millin Dollar Baby, IWO trilogy etc. etc.) —-AND even obediently baulked his own lins to the awesomely important 60th Anniversary of the KOREAN WAR last year.

With ‘Star’ he moves on to just plain old routine and stale.
