Good Question: How Much Electricity Does San Francisco Use Daily?

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) – More than 800,000 live in San Francisco, with many more filling up office buildings everyday to work. Gregg Rosenblum asked this Good Question: How much electricity does the entire city of San Francisco use in a day?

ANSWER:  According to PG&E spokesman Joe Molica, the city of San Francisco consumes about 18,000 megawatt hours of electricity each day. One megawatt hour powers about 750 homes in California.
