James Stewart Wins Supercross In Oakland

OAKLAND (AP) ― James Stewart raced to his second Monster Energy AMA Supercross victory of the season Saturday night, beating Chad Reed in front of 44,394 fans at rainy Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.

Stewart, the Yamaha star from Haines City, Fla., who also won this year in Phoenix, took the lead when Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto crashed on the second lap and led the final 18 laps.

Earlier, Kawasaki’s Broc Tickle, from Holly, Mich., won the Western Regional Supercross Lites race.
