Cal Women Beat Arizona For 11th Straight Time

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- DeNesha Stallworth scored 16 points to lead California to a 73-63 victory over Arizona Thursday night.

The Golden Bears (14-7, 6-4) have beaten Arizona 11 straight times. It was the first home loss of the season for the Wildcats (13-8, 5-5) in 10 games at the McKale Center.

Davellyn White and Ify Ibekwe each scored 21 points for Arizona, while Erica Barnes scored 10. That trio was 21 of 36 (58 percent) from the field, but the rest of the Wildcats went 5 for 30 (17 percent).

Cal had three other players in double figures. Layshia Clarendon added 15 points, freshman guard Lindsay Sherbert added 14 points and Talia Caldwell had 10 points.

The Wildcats trailed 20-9 just after the midway point of the first half. The Wildcats came no closer than 56-49 with 10:31 left.
