Pacifica Metro PCS Store Robbed At Gunpoint
PACIFICA (BCN) -- Pacifica police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Friday, and have released a description of the suspect.
Officers from both the Pacifica and Daly City police departments responded to a Metro PCS store at 799 Hickey Blvd. in Pacifica around 7:30 p.m.
A store clerk told officers that the suspect approached him with a handgun, demanded cash, and took an undetermined amount of money, then fled through the Fairmont Shopping Center.
Despite setting up a perimeter on the ground and using a California Highway Patrol helicopter to search, police report they were unable to locate the suspect.
Police describe the suspect as an African-American man in his 20s, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall with a stocky build and freckles on his nose. He was last seen wearing a green puffy jacket, white T-shirt and blue jeans, and was reportedly also wearing a ski mask.
