San Mateo's Tom Brady Voted NFL MVP

SAN MATEO (KCBS) - Even though his New England Patriots squad wasn't in Sunday's Super Bowl San Mateo's Tom Brady can still say he had a successful season after becoming the first NFL player to receive a unanimous vote as league Most Valuable Player.

KCBS' Tim Ryan Reports:

The Serra High graduate is seemingly on top of the world right now. He is a two-time league MVP, and three-time Super Bowl champ. He is also married to supermodel Gisele Bundchen, and isn't too hard to look at himself. Still, his parents said all the success hasn't gone to his head.

"Frankly it doesn't mean a heck of a lot to him," said Tom Brady, Sr. "At least it doesn't right now. Maybe it will in 15 to 20 years when his career is over."

"We're very, very proud of him and happy for his successes," said Galynn Brady, Tom's mom. "We're with him all the way through the season and after the season, win or lose."

The Brady's spent a quiet Super Bowl at home in San Mateo rooting for another local gunslinger, Cal grad Aaron Rogers and the Green Bay Packers.
